Presley attended an opening gala for the exhibit on Saturday, June 25 as a national representative of the arts in Memphis. She was joined by dignataries from around the world, as well as family members of Jean-Louis Forain from France.
Actress and businesswoman Priscilla Presley visited Memphis this weekend to help to kick off a new exhibit at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens celebrating the work of French Impressionist artist Jean-Louis Forain. “Jean-Louis Forain: La Comèdie Parisienne” features 125 paintings, pastels, prints and decorative objects. It will be on display through October 9, 2011. The Dixon is the only venue in the United States where visitors can see the exhibition.

On Friday, the group visited Graceland and posed for a photo together outside the mansion. Featured in this photo are Emmanuel Chagnaud, great-grandson of Jean-Louis Forain; Priscilla Presley; Florence Valdès-Forain, great-granddaughter of Jean-Louis Forain and curator of the exhibition; Kevin Sharp, Director of the Dixon Gallery and Gardens; and Pascal Le Deunff, Consulate General to France.
